Advice regarding magnets and button batteries
Button-batteries; raising awareness about safety concerns amongst parents/carers: Earlier this year RoSPA alerted CDOPs to incidents involving small high-powered magnetic products. There was a big push nationally to raise awareness of the dangers if swallowed. Colleagues working across East Lancashire initially saw a decrease in the number children presenting, however colleagues in East Lancashire report cases rising once again.
