Curriculum Policy

Our Curriculum Policy is bespoke to our Nursery setting. It includes our Curriculum intent, how we implement our curriculum and also how we measure the impact. 

There are two distinct curriculums to cater for the two cohorts of children who attend Ashworth Nursery School.

Pre Foundation

Our Pre Foundation children are those who start nursery at the age of 3 years and may of spend 5 terms at our setting. Whilst the curriculum covers all areas of learning it is designed primarily around the Prime areas of learning to ensure these are embedded.

Pre School

Our Pre School children are those who will be transitioning to Primary School in September. Some of the children have been at our setting as Pre Foundation children, some have not. These children have a curriculum designed to cover all areas of learning.
